Scam Alert: Fraudulent DMV Text Messages:

If you receive text messages claiming to be from the DMV and stating that a citation payment is overdue: these messages are fraudulent. The DMV never requests personal or financial information via text. 

Stay vigilant and protect your information. For official DMV updates, visit dmv.ca.gov.

How to Get Help

Assistance is available by email, telephone, walk-in hours, and limited in-person appointments. Each time you visit the Self-Help Center during walk-in hours, please remember to bring your case number and a blue/black ink pen.

 

Walk-Ins

  • Walk-in assistance is available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.
  • If you come to the Self-Help Center during walk-in hours, you must first check-in and fill out an intake form.
  • Virtual appointments with the Department of Child Support Services are available during walk-in hours.

How to Check in for Walk-In Services

You will be called TWICE to the counter, please read the steps below carefully.

  1. Please check in using the kiosk.
  2. Take a seat and wait for your number to be called.
  3. You will be called by a staff member to complete a short screening.
  4. Follow the instructions provided by the staff member.

  • Telephone assistance is available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You may contact our office at (530) 406- 6793. Please note that we are not able to answer every call as it comes in. If we do not answer your call, leave a voicemail with your name, phone number, and case number. We will return your call within 3 business days.
