If You Have Received a Jury Summons

IMPORTANT: PLAN FOR YOUR FULL DAY
Remote hardship appearances can take between 1-6 hours. Please ensure you have adequate time available and a stable internet connection for the duration of your scheduled appearance.

After 5:10 P.M. on the evening, before you are scheduled to report, you can find out if you need to report in two ways:

• Check Juror Status by Group Number or Pool ID
• Call the Jury Services Office (530) 406-6701 Option 3 For Juror Updates

Jury Orientation and Hardships are done remotely.

• You are ordered to report by remote appearance, phone, or in person on the date and time listed on your summons for remote hardship appearance and orientation
• During the call, if you are not excused for hardship, you will be given a date and time to appear in person for jury selection
• Hardships can take between 1-6 hours

Prior to your reporting date, please do the following:

• Review the "Virtual Courtroom Rules and Responsibilities", items 1 through 7.
• Watch the Jury Orientation Video with important information about Jury Service.
