PHONE SCAM ALERT

: in more than a dozen states, including California, reports have been filed regarding calls from people claiming to be court officials or law enforcement officers. Do not provide any information having to do with your bank or credit card to anyone claiming to be an officer of the court or of the law. If you receive communication from someone requesting your personal information, immediately contact the fraud unit of your local police department. Be advised that although court personnel may contact you by telephone, they will never ask for your personal or credit card information.

Please complete the following application no later than Friday, May 1st, 2026 so that your qualifications to serve as a grand juror may be determined.

The estimated time commitment is 30-50 hours per month. If selected, the term of service is a period of one year, from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. You should be committed to serving the entire year. Generally, two grand jury meetings are conducted per month, usually in the evening. Additional committee meetings may sometimes be scheduled during business hours. (If you answered “no” to either of the questions above, you are not required to complete the remaining questions.)

Penal Code Section 893 sets forth the requirements to qualify as a grand juror.
