Presiding Judge appointed to Joint Rules Working Group

Yolo Superior Court Presiding Judge David Rosenberg has been appointed to the Joint Rules Working Group, composed of seven California Presiding Judges and seven California Court Executive Officers.

The Joint Rules Working Group is composed of members of the Trial Court Presiding Judges Advisory Committee (TCPJAC) and the Court Executives Advisory Committee.  All 58 California Superior Courts are represented on these two advisory committees.  The Joint Rules Working Group is charged with reviewing and commenting on proposed and existing court rules and forms as well as identifying issues for exploration and development.

The appointment of Presiding Judge Rosenberg was announced by the Chair of TCPJAC San Diego Superior Court Presiding Judge Nancy Wieben Stock.

I look forward to diving into the task of this working group," said Presiding Judge Rosenberg.  “My goals are simple.  Rules should be clear, understandable and accessible. Too many rules spoil the broth.  Rules that have no purpose should be purged."
