There are two types of Juvenile proceedings:
- Juvenile Dependency which involves neglected and/or abused children; and
- Juvenile Delinquency which involves children who commit delinquent acts.

As of January 2009 the Juvenile proceedings will be heard in Department 11 of the Superior Court located at 812 Court Street, Woodland, CA.
