Fines and Collection Process

COURT ORDERED FINES
Fines ordered by the Yolo Superior Court are payable immediately and in full.  No new installment plans will be granted for accounts in a delinquent status or in collection status with CSB.  

AT SENTENCING
The judge will pronounce your sentence which could include fines and fees.  You will be ordered to pay in full (forthwith) at Room 210 Payment Center or set up a monthly payment schedule.    

In Court you will be asked to fill out a “Personal Information Form” called the “Blue Form”.  It is your responsibility to see that this form is signed and filled out completely.  You will be required to submit proof of income at the time of requesting a payment plan.     
 
YOUR PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Once you have been granted a payment schedule, your first payment will be due the same day.  
You will receive monthly billing statements at the address you provided to the Court on the “Blue Form”. Notify us of a new address.            

YOUR ABILITY TO PAY
Contact the Court if you find yourself unemployed or become ill.  If you will not be able to make your scheduled payments, please contact the Payment Center immediately for your options.
 
COLLECTION ACCOUNTS
If you miss your scheduled payment and do not contact Revenue Collections Unit your account is in delinquent status.    
Your account will be in a failure to pay status, assessed a civil assessment fee, a DMV hold will be placed on your license, income tax refund intercepted with the Franchise Tax Board.  
Your account will be turned over to CSB and you will be contacted by their representatives.  You may also incur additional fees plus interest

If your account becomes past due & unpaid it will be turned over to the Courts collection agency California Service Bureau (CSB)..

 

RETURN CHECK POLICY

 

Yolo County Superior Court has a $25.00 return check fee on all return items.
