In addition to these local rules, Yolo Superior Court enforces all applicable state statutes and the California Rules of Court. Counsel and self-represented litigants are responsible for knowing and complying with applicable state statutes and the California Rules of Court. In general, the local rules do not contain rules that are duplicative of state statutes or the California Rules of Court.
Yolo Superior Court has also adopted policies and protocols for juvenile cases, the Unified Family Court, and alternative dispute resolution/case management. The programs described in the policies and protocols are grant-dependent. Counsel and self-represented litigants should consult the court's web site frequently regarding the status of the grant-funded programs.
The following rules of court for the Superior Court of Yolo County are adopted January 1, 2009 and replace the rules previously adopted by the Superior Court of Yolo County.
